Welcome to the website of the Society of Derbyshire Golf Captains.
The Society of Derbyshire Golf Captains is a very prestigious organisation which was founded in 1966 and has 400+ members drawn from the 29 clubs in the county. Club Captains and ex-Captains of Golf Clubs now playing at a club within the county shall be eligible for membership.
It is the objective of the Society to bring together Club Captains and Past Captains of Golf Clubs for the purpose of enjoying the competitive spirit and camaraderie of golf with like-minded people.
The Society arranges an extensive programme of fixtures each year for the benefit of the members and these well attended events provide the opportunity to play different courses against neighbouring Captains Societies and Society tournaments throughout the year.
The Society holds an Annual Dinner in March each year where attendees are able to meet with representatives of the County Organisations and other Captain Societies. Current and Past Captains of clubs within Derbyshire are invited and actively encouraged to become a member the Society.
