Annual Dinner at Pro-Act Stadium Chesterfield Football Club

The 53rd Annual Dinner was held on Friday 29th March 2019 at The Proact Stadium Chesterfield F.C.
Nearly 170 members and guests where welcomed by the Society Captain Graham Naylor who went on to specifically introduce the 15 current Club Captains who were present.
After grace had been offered by the Society Patron Sir Richard FitzHerbert Bt. All enjoyed a menu of Homemade Salmon and Cod Fishcake with Lemon Emulsion and Shoots followed by Slow Braised Feather Beef served with Parsley Mash and Roasted Roots and completed with White Chocolate and Orange Cheesecake with Raspberries and Meringues or Cheese and Biscuits.
The “Loyal Toast” was proposed by Mike Whalley President of the Derbyshire Society. John Devereux Captain of the Shropshire and Hereford Society then proposed the toast to the Derbyshire Society and in his response Graham Naylor thanked all the members who had supported him in his year and all the Visiting Societies who had offered him hospitality.
He went on the invite the Derbyshire members to rise and toast all the Guests. Mr Des Coleman the ITV Central Weather Presenter responded on behalf of the guests regaling his very varied life to date.
