Derbyshire Lady Captains at Cavendish Golf Club

It was our turn this year to be entertained by the Past Lady Captains.

Cavendish looked in great condition although when played several areas were already quite wet. It was a sunny day with a squally wind, which made it all very interesting. As always the greens were in great condition with some very tricky fast borrows.

Prior to the game we all had a bacon roll and some lengthy discussions as to the allocation of shots. This we got about right as there were some close matches, however in the end the men just came out of the battle victorious.

The dinner was greatly enjoyed by all, thanks due to the caterers. After which both Captains agreed that a good time had been had by all and the ladies had particularly enjoyed the wine provided by the men. This is always a great way to tidy up the season with everybody enjoying themselves.
