Derbyshire Lady Captains at Mickleover Golf Club

This year the match was hosted by the gentlemen and played at Mickleover Golf Club on Thursday 19th September. The weather could not have been better and all enjoyed and excellent competition.
Before golf the Captain of Mickleover G.C. Bill Hibbert welcomed both Societies to his Club and the players were sustained with sandwiches and chips before the match commenced.
Afterwards all sat down to a roast beef dinner followed by raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake.The Loyal Toast was proposed by Mike Whalley President of the Derbyshire Golf Captains and then Captain Derek Northin proposed the health of the Ladies. Mrs Erika Woodhouse Captain of the Society of Derbyshire Lady Golf Captains responded. Thanks were expressed to the respective secretaries for organising the day.
The result this year was a draw 4 games each. Gentlemen winners were Derek Northin & Bill Hibbert, Martin Eyre & Andrew Dale, Tony Davis & Tony Gee and Chris Kelk & Norman Lancaster.
