Another fantastic turnout for the Founders Trophy, on a dry day played at the marvellous setting of Kedleston Park Golf Club.
88 players played on a very well maintained course. It was very well appreciated by all to have the pleasure of Eric Grattage to set us all off (especially telling the 1st group that it was raking in bunkers lol).
Eric arrived early and we sat and had a great chat together before play started. The day was an AM/AM and some very good scores were being carded.
Checking cards as they were coming in, with 3 teams on 85 points it looked as if a count back was going to be needed to find the winners. But alas the last team of Adrian Shaw, Graham Naylor, Richard Parker and Paul Robinson came in with an incredible score of 95 points.
There were 14 two’s on the day and was finished off with a great meal of fish and chips, which made a change from steak pie.
