Our next match took us to Disley Golf Club on the N E side of Manchester.
This started with a downpour whilst we were having lunch then it settled down to be a lovely afternoon. The course was hilly and tight in places, but with beautiful scenery looking across the Peak District.
Unfortunately our Captain struggled on this occasion but wins from Waring & Waite, Broadhurst & McCabe, Robinson & Dale with halves from Booth & Brock, Hambly & Gibbs and Marr & Kelk.
The outstanding match was Derek Northin playing alone against Manchester managed a win. Fortunately the tail again wagged hard giving us a win of 5 ½ against 4 ½.
We had a lovely meal, enjoyed by all which was followed by speaches made by Club Captain Steve Torkington, who welcomed us all, Tony Gregory, Manchester Captain with a response from our Captain Graham Naylor.
