We had a very good day at Patshull Park the course was in excellent condition and although we had some showers but they didn’t last for too long.
It started with a bacon roll and tea/coffee before we set off and after the match a 2 course meal. In the absence of the Secretary and Treasurer Vice Captain Bob did a splendid job collecting the money.
The important stuff, the golf! We had 3 excellent victories from Vice Captain Bob Roberts and Ron Adams, Andrew Dale and Colin Barnard, and Captain Derek Northin and Tony Gee so congratulations to them. It does mean that we lost the other 5 matches, but not a bad result on an ‘away’ fixture.
A very interesting and attractive golf course although some of us found it rather difficult to find despite sat nav. It was a really enjoyable day out. Many thanks to all who made the long journey.
