The Society team visited Maxstoke Park Golf Club to play Warwickshire at a treasure of a course near Coalville.
The match turned out to be a close affair with the match being halved 4-4 although at one stage it seemed as if Derbyshire were in for a trouncing when the first match was halved, and the next three games went Warwickshire’s way.
However, in the remaining 4 matches Derbyshire to clawed back the result to a draw with one match being halved and the remaining three being won.
Once again, we were treated to a warm welcome by the Warwickshire Captain and treated to a fine meal, finally we were able to finish the day watching England beat Germany.
